Rob Edmisson

As National Director of Collegiate Business Development, Rob leads the strategic growth of Short’s collegiate division, overseeing all sales and recruitment efforts across athletic departments nationwide. He works directly with athletic directors, operations staff, and university leadership to deliver customized travel solutions that streamline both group and individual team travel.

Rob drives new business development initiatives, cultivates long-term partnerships, and identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency, compliance, and cost savings for collegiate clients. With a deep understanding of the unique demands of athletic travel, he ensures each program benefits from Short’s comprehensive services—covering air, hotel, and ground transportation—supported by industry-leading technology and dedicated service models.

His leadership plays a vital role in expanding Short’s presence within collegiate athletics, fostering relationships built on trust, performance, and a shared commitment to making team travel easy.

Rob is a former collegiate Women’s Basketball coach, coaching 33 years before retiring in March of 2019. While coaching, Rob spent time at the NCAA DI and DII level, as well as stints in the Junior College and NAIA ranks. His coaching highlight was winning a National Championship at Oklahoma City University in 2012. He finished his career with a record of 630-195.
