Software Development Manager

Short’s Travel Management is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a small but growing six-person development and production support team, all working remotely.  Short's Travel develops a proprietary travel booking website along with a number of related specialty travel applications.  We believe innovative software development is core to our mission of enhancing the traveler experience of getting there, being there, and coming home, while delivering the highest value travel management offering to our clients.

Dedicated On-Site Travel Consultant

Short’s Travel is seeking a dynamic and qualified candidate to fill the position of Dedicated On-Site Travel Consultant for our new client, University of Nevada Las Vegas Athletics.  This position will be located on campus in Las Vegas, NV. A minimum of 5 years travel agent experience is required; group and/or sports travel experience is necessary. VIP experience will be a plus; Apollo experience preferred. The selected candidate must display a commitment to the department’s core values: integrity, service, excellence, accountability, and innovation. 

This position responds to customer travel requests for reservations (airline, hotel, rental car or other modes of transportation) in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in compliance with corporate travel policy.  An individual in this position manages all functions relating to the booking, administrative and accounting tasks necessary to process electronic or other travel documents as it relates to customer requests and industry requirements. 


Product Manager

Short’s Travel is seeking a dynamic and qualified candidate to fill the position of Product Manager. A qualified candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in product development, from inception to completion.

The Product Manager will manage and coordinate product development projects, working with other departments to establish a design, technology, and vendor strategy. This role will evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues, ensuring the goals and objectives of product development are achieved within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Develop products by identifying potential products, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction, and developing marketing strategies.


Corporate Travel Consultant

Short’s Travel is seeking a dynamic and qualified candidate to fill the position of Corporate Travel Consultant for an on-site location in Kansas City, KS.  The option to work remotely will be considered.

A qualified candidate is required to have a High School Diploma, 3+ years of experience in corporate travel, and GDS experience (Apollo preferred). VIP service experience and international booking and ticketing skills a plus.

 This position responds to customer travel requests (via phone, e-mail or fax) for reservations (airline, hotel, rental car or other modes of transportation) in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in compliance with corporate travel policy.  An individual in this position manages all functions relating to the booking, administrative and accounting tasks necessary to process electronic or other travel documents as it relates to customer requests and industry requirements.  The candidate placed in this position will have the ability to function autonomously and in a team environment.
