Eastern Washington University (EWU) Athletics has selected Short’s Travel Management as its official partner to handle all athletic travel logistics for the Eagles’ sports programs. The agreement includes comprehensive coordination of commercial air, charter flights, hotel accommodations, and ground transportation for both individual and team travel.
Through Short’s specialized Designated Agent Model, EWU will work with a consistent, sport-specific travel agent backed by expert support teams across each service area. This model emphasizes reliability, speed, and proactive communication—hallmarks of Short’s reputation in the collegiate sports space.
“Athletic travel is high-pressure, time-sensitive, and critical to performance,” said David LeCompte, CEO of Short’s Travel Management. “Eastern Washington understands the value of a coordinated approach, and we’re honored to bring them a model built specifically for the demands of college athletics. We’re here to help their teams move efficiently, safely, and without distraction.”
Eastern Washington selected Short’s for its industry-leading experience, having managed thousands of trips for college athletic programs nationwide. With services built specifically for the rhythms of sports seasons, recruiting calendars, and postseason competition, the Short’s team is equipped to meet EWU’s evolving needs.
“We weren’t just looking for a vendor—we needed a strategic partner who gets what college athletics requires day in and day out,” said Tim Collins, Associate Vice President / Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Eastern Washington University. “Short’s delivers that. Their responsiveness, consistency, and knowledge of our world set them apart. This partnership also helps streamline our business operations and realize cost savings for our department.”
