Account Manager, Hotels

 

 

Short’s Travel Management is seeking a sourcing manager for STM Stay

 

This position will be responsible for strategic sourcing, negotiations, and hotel relationships.

 

  • 1 year of experience in a hotel sales position.

  • Experience with hotel contract negotiations, customer service, and hotel management. 

  • AA degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Ability to convey technical subject matters with ease and impact to non-technical audiences. 

  • Strong executive poise and presence.

  • Flexibility to work based on client- specific or event-specific requirements.

  • Willing to travel and/or work a flexible schedule (i.e. non-traditional hours) as needed.

  • Remote work sites must have dependable high-speed internet.

NCAA Travel Coordinator

 

 

Short’s Travel Management is seeking an NCAA Travel Coordinator. This position is first contact for our NCAA Travelers, this position is responsible for domestic and basic international customer travel requests from assigned accounts for both group and individual travel.  Travel requests are received and responded to via all means of business contact (phone, e-mail or portal) for air, hotel and car reservations in an efficient, courteous and timely manner. This position manages all functions relating to the booking, administrative and accounting tasks necessary to process electronic or other travel documents as it relates to customer requests and industry requirements, including support of on-line bookings. This position is located in our Waterloo, IA office.

  • Associate’s degree and/or a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar customer service position.

  • Travel Agency experience preferred, but not required.

  • Flexibility to work overtime as well as evening and weekends shifts during peak business periods is required.

On-Site Travel Advisor, USA Gymnastics

 

 

As first contact for our USA Gymnastics account, this position is responsible for arranging domestic and complex international travel for site representatives for group travel to and from their event or destination, along with individuals, coaches, and officials.  Travel requests are received and responded to via all means of business contact (phone, e-mail or portal) for air, hotel, car, and rail reservations in an efficient, courteous and timely manner.  This position manages all functions relating to the booking, administrative and accounting tasks necessary to process electronic or other travel documents as it relates to customer requests and industry requirements and maintains the highest possible level of client and company confidentiality.  

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a group or corporate travel consultant with domestic and international ticketing experience.

  • Group and/or sports travel experience required.

  • VIP experience preferred.

  • Smartpoint/Apollo experience preferred.

Team Travel Advisor

 

 

As first contact for our Sports Travel clients, this position is responsible for domestic and basic international customer travel requests for group travel and provides emergency and afterhours service for team travel.  Travel requests are received and responded to via all means of business contact (phone, e-mail or portal) for air, hotel and car reservations in an efficient, courteous and timely manner. This position manages all functions relating to the booking, administrative and accounting tasks necessary to process electronic or other travel documents as it relates to customer requests and industry requirements, including support of on-line bookings. This position can be located in the Waterloo, IA office or be virtual from home.
 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a travel consultant; Group/Sports Travel experience preferred.

  • Smartpoint/Apollo experience is preferred.

  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends on rotational basis.
