On-Site Sports Travel Consultant – GA Tech University in Atlanta, GA

This position is located on-site at GA Tech University in Atlanta, GA. This is NOT a remote position.

 

As first contact for GA Tech Athletics, this position is responsible for domestic and basic international travel requests for individual and group travel, and provides emergency and afterhours service for team travel. Travel requests are received and responded to via all means of business contact (phone, e-mail or portal) for air, hotel and car reservations in an efficient, courteous and timely manner. This position manages all functions relating to the booking, administrative and accounting tasks necessary to process electronic or other travel documents as it relates to customer requests and industry requirements, including support of online bookings.

 

A minimum of 5 years of travel agent experience is required; group and/or sports travel experience is essential. This position is located on-site at GA Tech University in Atlanta, GA.

Account Manager, Sourcing – Hotels, STM Stay

As a sourcing manager for STM – Stay, this role is responsible for strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and hotel relationships for assigned clients.  Must have a broad understanding of general business concepts and disciplines including finance/accounting, corporate card programs, travel management, etc.  3 years of experience in a hotel sales position preferred.

Team Travel Advisor – Univ. of Wisconsin System

As first contact for our Sports Travel clients, this position is responsible for domestic and basic international customer travel requests for group travel and provides emergency and afterhours service for team travel. Travel requests are received and responded to via all means of business contact (phone, e-mail or portal) for air, hotel and car reservations in an efficient, courteous and timely manner. This position manages all functions relating to the booking, administrative and accounting tasks necessary to process electronic or other travel documents as it relates to customer requests and industry requirements, including support of on-line bookings. Agent must reside in the state of Wisconsin or live within 100 miles of the Wisconsin state border.

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of travel industry experience required

  • Smartpoint/Apollo experience is preferred, including group or sports travel.

  • Previous experience with group hotel bookings/CVENT is a plus.

Account Executive – Hotels, STM Stay

Short's Travel Management is seeking a dynamic and motivated candidate for the position of Account Executive – Hotels for STM-Stay. This position may be a remote position.  Ability to travel is required (20-50%).

 

This position is responsible for managing multiple customer relationships at one time, as well as help generate prospective sales leads and new client sales for STM-Stay.  This position will utilize networking and customer relationship skills to contact and qualify strategic prospects including university athletic departments, professional sports organizations, and more. This candidate must have the ability to manage many customer relationships at the same time and multitask constantly.  The candidate placed in this position will possess the ability to function autonomously, but must also be effective contributing in a team environment.
 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • Requires 3+ years of sales experience in the hotel industry. Athletic and/or university experience a plus.

  • Ability to resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

Team Travel Advisor

This position can be located in the Waterloo, IA office or can work remotely from home.

  • Minimum of 3 years of travel industry experience required

  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends on a rotational basis

NCAA Travel Coordinator

As first contact for our NCAA Travelers, This position is responsible for domestic and basic international customer travel requests from assigned accounts for both group and individual travel. Travel requests are received and responded to via all means of business contact (phone, e-mail or portal) for air, hotel and car reservations in an efficient, courteous and timely manner. This position manages all functions relating to the booking, administrative and accounting tasks necessary to process electronic or other travel documents as it relates to customer requests and industry requirements, including support of on-line bookings. This position is located in our Waterloo, IA office. 

  • Associate’s degree and/or a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar customer service position.

  • Travel Agency experience preferred, but not required.

  • Flexibility to work overtime as well as evening and weekends shifts during peak business periods is required.

Team Travel Advisor – Evenings/Weekends

As first contact for our Sports Travel clients, this position is responsible for domestic and basic international customer travel requests for group travel and provides emergency and afterhours service for team travel.Work schedule can be flexible but will be covering evenings and/or weekend shifts. Position can be full or part-time.

This position can be located in the Waterloo, IA office or can work remotely from home.

Strategic Sourcing Specialist – STM Driven

Responsible for the company’s end to end sourcing of vendors and services essential for our business operations in ground transportation. Responsible for selecting, evaluating, and managing vendor partnerships using these relationships, along with data information, to solve problems, achieve business goals with profitability, and prepare STM Driven for long-term success.

  • BS or BA degree, equivalent educational degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum 5 years of purchasing/strategic sourcing experience or operations/supply chain experience; ground industry background a plus.

  • Proven aptitude for technology and/or software solutions and analytical skills required.

  • Flexibility to travel as needed.

Account Director, NCAA Meetings & Events

Responsible for providing leadership, strategic and innovative thinking to the Short’s meetings and convention planning team as well as NCAA liaisons and service partners. This person will possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with, analyze and manipulate data and systems.  In this role, the leader must be able to strictly manage projects while adhering to deadlines for superior outcomes.
