A qualified candidate is required to have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field and/or 7+ years of related experience.
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for designing and developing programs, policies, and practices to ensure that the organization complies with federal, state, and industry regulatory requirements. This position manages the monitoring of business activities for compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Expert knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures is required. Must have broad knowledge of the technical infrastructure and architecture of computer systems, as well as experience with a variety of platforms, such as operating systems, networks, and databases. Knowledge of corporate travel industry is a plus. Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, competent organizational skills, and effective interpersonal skills.
Short’s Travel Management is seeking an ambitious, goal-oriented Accountant to join our Finance Team. A qualified candidate will possess an Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting plus a minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting/bookkeeping OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position will be based in our Waterloo, IA office.
The Accountant will be responsible for invoicing, state filings, and general office management as it relates to the Waterloo building and grounds for Short’s Travel Management Inc.
On-Site Sport Travel Consultant
Short's Travel Management is seeking a dynamic and qualified candidate to fill the position of On-Site Sports Travel Consultant for the Georgia Tech Athletic Association in Atlanta, GA. A minimum of 5 years of travel agent experience is required; group and/or sports travel experience is essential. VIP experience will be a plus; Apollo experience preferred.
This position responds to customer travel requests for reservations (airline, hotel, rental car, or other modes of transportation) in an efficient, courteous and timely manner. An individual in this position manages all functions relating to the booking, administrative and accounting tasks necessary to process electronic or other travel documents as it relates to customer request and industry requirements. The candidate placed in this position will have the ability to function autonomously and in a team environment.
Short’s Travel Management is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Meetings Assistant/Concierge in Indianapolis, IN. This position will be responsible for supporting the Director of Events with conference center and NCAA Convention functions. A minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in a similar position or Bachelor’s degree/educational equivalent is required.
The candidate selected for this position will manage logistics and details relating to the booking and ongoing support of meetings, committees, programs or other client functions to ensure the execution of all conditions related to the event. This position will have the ability to function autonomously, as an individual contributor, and in a coordinated team environment. Normal hours will be 7am – 4pm, Monday through Friday (40 hour week). Flexibility to work earlier, later or on weekends based on events schedule will be required.
